How Can Radiesse Quickly Contour My Butt?
Perhaps you already know that Radiesse is effective in addressing moderate to severe wrinkling and sagging in the face. Maybe you’ve even considered having your face done to help with the creases.
“But can it really quickly contour my butt??!!”
Our answer is a resounding YES! Compared to a surgical butt lift, a Radiesse dermal filler lift is non-invasive and quick. Best of all, it gives you natural looking results.
The Radiesse dermal filler used for butt lifts has synthetic yet biocompatible calcium hydroxylapatite as its active ingredient. As an injectable dermal filler, Radiesse comes in the form of microspheres suspended in a watery gel.
The gel component of Radiesse provides the initial lift immediately after the treatment. So, you can see visual results soon after.
However, Radiesse has a progressive effect. This means that after the initial lift, it continues to contour your buttocks by stimulating the production of collagen. In effect, Radiesse encourages your skin to produce more of its own filler.
What Issues Can a Radiesse Buttocks Lift Address?
If your butt has become saggy or droopy for some reason or another, Radiesse can give your butt the lift and contour it needs. However, it can address other issues as well:
Some people are born with nice rear-end, but some just have flat buttocks. If you’d like to add a bit of volume to your derriere, Radiesse has been found to provide as much 20-50% augmentation.
If you’ve lost a lot of weight and your butt has become saggy and has stretch marks, Radiesse can not only firm up your buttocks, it can also help erase those unsightly zigzag marks.
Radiesse can also help improve the look of cellulite.
What Are the Benefits of a Radiesse Buttocks Lift?
Compared to a traditional butt lift involving surgery, liposuction, or both, a Radiesse Buttocks Lift is non-invasive. It does not involve any incisions nor general anesthesia which can sometimes cause unwanted complications.
Here are the main advantages of opting for a Radiesse Buttocks Lift:
There is very little or no downtime. You can go back to your normal routine soon after your treatment.
There’s no long pre-operative preparations. When you go for a traditional butt lift, it takes 1 to 2 months from pre-treatment consultation to your actual surgery date.
There’s no incision nor stitches involved. This means you avoid postoperative scarring which can sometimes turn ugly if you're keloidal.
There’s no need for silicone implants.
There’s no liposuction or fat transfer from one body part of your body to your buttocks.
It can improve the texture of your skin (can address age spots, cellulite, and stretch marks).
Sometimes when your buttocks droop, there are some spots that also become hollow. Radiesse can plump up those areas.
Results, though not permanent, are long lasting which can last for 2 to 5 years.
Any drawbacks? If you want dramatic results of epic J-Lo proportions, you may have to manage your expectations. Your buttocks will not reach Hollywood celebrity status.
You do, however, get natural looking results that make people go “Hmmm, there’s something different but I don’t know what!”. In most cases, this is the effect you want to go after.
What To Expect When You Go For a Radiesse Buttocks LIft
This step is essential so you can discuss your needs and expectations with your specialist. A pre-treatment consultation also helps minimize any possible risks.
Your medical history is taken into consideration. Any allergies or disorders that you may have that may cause unnecessary risk to the procedures are carefully assessed. You should also disclose any medications you are currently taking, including herbal supplements.
Before your appointment, your specialist will give a list of what to avoid prior to treatment. Among them:
Refraining from taking ibuprofen or any NSAIDs that can cause bleeding during the treatment
Stopping taking herbal supplements prior the procedure
Refraining from smoking, vaping, or drinking alcohol 48 hours prior to your Radiesse Buttocks Lift treatment
The procedure is performed in the office or clinic of your specialist. The treatment area will be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly to avoid infections.
Radiesse already has lidocaine incorporated into its formulation. Lidocaine numbs tissues in a specific area (in this case where the injection is administered). However, if you are especially sensitive to pain, your specialist may apply a topical anesthesia to help manage any discomfort you may feel during the treatment.
Once the treatment area is sufficiently numb, Radiesse is injected using a blunt tip cannula. It may take several injections to achieve the desired results. A treatment session takes approximately 30 minutes.
It typically takes 2 to 3 treatments spaced 4 months apart to get full results.
Some pain or soreness is to be expected in the buttocks area. However, this should go away within a week after treatment.
Below are also some of the more common side effects that can happen after your treatment:
Rash or itching
Bleeding in the treatment area
It’s best to avoid sleeping on your back after treatment to allow Radiesse to settle properly. The recommended sleeping position is on your side or on your stomach.
Are There Serious Side Effects?
While non-invasive, there are still risks involved in a Radiesse Buttocks Lift. It’s because of this that we cannot overemphasize the importance of carefully choosing your provider. Make sure that the person who’s administering your treatment is trained, certified, and most importantly experienced in performing the procedure.
Here are the more serious side effects that can happen if the procedure is done incorrectly:
Yellow or green discharge at the treatment area
These symptoms point to an infection. Immediate medical attention is required should these occur after a treatment.
