How Can Radiesse Fix My Wrinkled Butt?
For many years now, people have been turning to Radiesse dermal filler to help get rid of wrinkles and creases in the face or to address loss of volume on the back of their hands. Recently, however, aesthetic practitioners have found Radiesse to also be effective in improving the look of and adding volume to droopy and wrinkled butts.
Radiesse has calcium hydroxylapatite, a substance found in the bones of the body, as its active ingredient. As a dermal filler, it comes in the form of microspheres suspended in a watery gel. When injected to the buttocks, the gel gives your derriere an instant lift. However, this is just the immediate effect.
The more long lasting effect of Radiesse is due to its ability to stimulate collagen production. Collagen is an essential protein found in the body that gives the skin strength and structure. It is what keeps our skin and muscles from sagging and drooping. Your butt becomes more contoured and lifted as more collagen is produced.
If you are looking for a way to fix your wrinkled butt without surgery, without implants, and without liposuction, Radiesse may be the solution for you.
What Can Radiesse Do Aside From Fix My Wrinkled Butt?
Radiesse can definitely address your problem with a wrinkled bum. However, it can do much more than this. Here are the other issues that this no-surgery treatment can address:
If you were born with a flat butt, Radiesse can give you the volume you’ve always wanted. Radiesse can add as much as 20 to 50% augmentation to your behind.
It can improve the look of unsightly cellulite and stretch marks.
Radiesse can add volume to hollow areas in your buttocks.
What are the Benefits of a Radiesse Dermal Filler Lift?
A surgical butt lift can give you dramatic and permanent results, but it has its drawbacks. Because it’s an invasive procedure, there’s a lot of preparation involved. Typically, it takes 1 to 2 months from initial consultation to actual surgery. It can be painful and necessarily involves anesthesia. It takes up to 4 weeks to recover from a surgery.
If you don’t like the idea of going under the knife and you’re not willing to endure a long recovery period after a surgery, the Radiesse Dermal Filler Lift may work for you.
Here are the benefits of having a dermal filler buttocks lift:
There is minimal to no downtime. You can go back to your normal routine soon after your procedure.
Since there are no incisions made, you can be sure that there will be no postoperative scars.
There’s no artificial (silicone) implants inserted into your buttocks.
There’s no liposuction needed.
Though results are not permanent, they are long lasting. A dermal filler buttocks lift can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years.
Results are both immediate and progressive. Immediate due to the initial lift provided by the gel in the filler. Progressive because your buttocks gain lift and contour as collagen production is stimulated.
Because results are progressive, your butt lift and augmentation is more natural looking.
I’m Ready To Fix My Wrinkled Butt - What Can I Expect from My Radiesse Procedure?
Here are things you need to know before your appointment:
While the Radiesse buttocks lift is a non-invasive procedure, it is still a procedure that needs some preparation to minimize risks and to ensure that the treatment is appropriate for you.
Your practitioner will ask about your medical history. It’s important to disclose any conditions you may have like bleeding disorders, allergies, or any recent health issues that can affect the results of the procedure.
If you’re taking any medications or herbal supplements, it’s important to disclose what these are, as well.
To prepare for your treatment, your practitioner will give certain instructions including refraining from taking certain medications like ibuprofen and NSAIDs as well as herbal supplements. You’ll be asked to refrain from drinking alcohol, vaping, or smoking 48 hours prior to your appointment.
When you come in for your appointment, the treatment area will be cleaned and sanitized to prevent any infections. A topical anesthetic will be applied to help with any pain or discomfort during the procedure.
Please note that Radiesse already contains a certain amount of lidocaine (a medication used to numb certain areas). Some people have sensitivity to it and may exhibit a reaction to lidocaine. It’s important to disclose to your practitioner if you are one of those people.
Once the topical anesthetic has taken effect, the dermal filler is administered using a blunt tip cannula. It may take several injections to achieve the desired results. Typically, a treatment session takes 30 minutes.
Most people require 2 to 3 treatments, spaced 4 months in between, to achieve the desired results.
Some pain or soreness in the gluteal area is to be expected. However, this should go away within a week. You can go back to your normal activities soon after your treatment.
Your practitioner will advise you to sleep on your side or your stomach to allow the Radiesse to set up properly.
Are There Side Effects?
Among the common side effects of a Radiesse Buttocks Lift are:
Bleeding in the treatment area
Rash or itching
Lumps or bumps
Here are the more serious side effects that can happen. It’s important to seek immediate medical attention should you notice these symptoms:
Green or yellow discharge at the treatment area
The signs mentioned above may point to a possible infection. Because such a risk exists, it’s important to choose a reputable provider who is trained, licensed, and more importantly experienced in giving Radiesse Buttocks Lift treatments.
